14 Weeks

Brynn Marie, you melt my heart everyday!

These are the sweetest footie pants! She couldn't take her eyes off them. And I can't take my eyes off those long eyelashes... she got them from her daddy! :)

Weekending

I live for my weekends! This Saturday was no different! Brynn Marie and I got all fancied up and went to the fabric store to pick out some pretties to craft a present for our new friend Miss Mowgli! My sweet friend since 1st grade will be welcoming her baby girl this summer and we could not be more thrilled. We hit up Quilt Country and this lady slept the entire time.

This is how I found Sweet Brynn when I took her out of the car. She's a hard sleeper.
Sunday morning this mama got brave and took little girl to church while daddy slept. I avoided the baby shuffle while getting ready when Nana came over to save the day and sit with Miss B so I could shower. I fed her and when she was "fat and happy" I prayed for a good nap. She loved it. Even during our loud worship, she didn't let out more than a peep. She slept the entire time!

This girl's got the JOY! :)
After church we both put on our comfies and hung out in her room all morning. Brynn was rocking the new homemade baby legs I made her. She was chatting up a storm. I gave her a pep talk because I was determined to see this girl roll over since her dad's been seeing it all week long.
The pep talk worked! Check out this strong girl... she was proud of herself too :)

All that playing makes a girl tired! Even Kali got in on the Sunday naps...
When Daddy woke up we went to visit Brynn's 2nd cousin Logan. He was born earlier this week! At only 6 pounds, we felt light as a feather. You forgot how fast they grow! Brynn looked like a GIANT baby next to him.
We had a great weekend! What about y'all?

13 Weeks

Where has the time gone? I feel like each week passes faster and faster.
This girl amazes me with how much she is learning. She is taking in everything around her and is so much fun to be around. My little bundle of joy.... Brynn Marie, I love you so.

Who doesn't love a pair of jeggings and baby boots?

Brynn's Favorite Things: 3 Months

Untitled #3

Jameson Monroe Headbands: I have fallen in LOVE with this Etsy site! I need one of each for Miss Brynn. I have had my eye on these beauts for a while everytime they come across a GroupDealz and finally ordered some. They came in the mail just  in time for Valentine's Day! They fit our girl's head so well. And Nana loves them because they don't swallow her head. She's not a huge fan of the ginormous bows... I would beg to differ.
Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo: So fresh and so clean. For as much as baby loves the bath and for the nights Mama and Daddy need it to silence our crying daughter, this has quickly become a new favorite. It has a very light and airy scent to it. Nothing to perfume-y and heavy on our girl's skin. It leaves the perfect baby scent in her dark hair and I can't stop breathing it in as we snuggle before bed.
Infantino Activity Mat: This is not actually our mat... this is. Either way our girl loves rolling around under the sweet dangling toys. Although our mat is different I adore Skip Hop's toys and they are currently hanging on the mat. We love being able to detach the bars above and give Brynn a bit more room to scoot around. Daddy has seen our strong girl roll over all last week and FINALLY caught it on video. I'm hoping to see it this weekend! On the mat :)

Graco Simple Snuggles Bouncer: This gift has been a LIFESAVER! There have been many mornings when I'm solo when Tom's on shift and not only am I trying to get ready for work, but then Miss B begins to stir. I call it the baby shuffle. After feeding her she loves hanging out in the bathroom with her Mama in this bouncer. It is the perfect place for her! And it vibrates so she usually drifts back to sleep. Last week we put it on the counter while making dinner together. Like I said, LIFESAVER!
Baby Socks that look like shoes: Enough said! These kill me.They are adorable and our girl has them in almost every color! There is nothing cuter!
Boppy: A definite MUST have! I didn't really use this much while breastfeeding, and still don't but now we love it for Brynn. She has napped in it multiple times but now it is perfect to help her sit up when she's sitting like a big girl. It gives her just the right amount of support she needs. We love the cover too! Gender nuetral... :)
Summer Infant Touch Video Monitor:  This was a splurge for us. We did not receive the monitor from our registry so we were going to use an audio monitor from my sister in law initially. Tom insisted that we use our left over giftcards for this puppy. After a little pushback from me (imagine that) I caved, and I am SO glad I did. I love that we can watch our girl twist and turn and hear her talk herself to sleep. And I can spy on her daddy when he is putting her down. I love the touch screen and there is also a talk back feature which will come in handy when she grows older. Smartest surrender yet..

There are so many things that help our family of 3 get through the day alive and sane... these are just a few of our Month 3 Favorites!

Three Months Old

I love these little month by month pages. I saw the idea on, of course, Pinterest and use an editing program to make them my own. I have some plans for them at little lady's first birthday party. And maybe one day I'll start scrapbooking again...

I cannot believe our little girl is already 3 months old. I feel like I am saying this outloud multiple times each week. Her personality has come out so much in the past month. It is so fun to be with her, which in turn makes it so hard to leave each morning. This month Brynn started sleeping through the night! We thought it may be a fluke because we thought it was a bit early for that. But each morning I woke up refreshed and feeling proud for our girl. She usually takes her last feeding at 6pm and we will keep her in her swing or snuggle her until 8:30 or so, sometimes she will eat once more. After that she's down for the night. She will start stirring around 6:45 in the morning before I go to work. Sometimes she'll wake up earlier and so begins the "baby shuffle." Breastfeeding, burping, changing a baby and trying to get ready for work is quite difficult. At 3 months, we are considering ourselves very lucky for her love of sleep.

She is still in size 1 diapers and are going through them like CRAZY! Sometimes I regret not going the cloth diaper route... maybe next time. But nothing is easier than wiping, wrapping and tossing it in the diaper genie. She is wearing 3 month, sometimes 3-6 month clothes, depending on the brand. Still so long... we had to make a special trip to the mall for some new jammies because her feet were all jammed up.

So technically Brynn is not 3 months until February 15th, but she is 12 weeks already... so when do the weeks start being the same as the months? Which ones do you go by? Whatever... our girl is 3 months old.
We feeling the love this month with our Little Valentine.

Not the owl again....
Sweet Brynn,
This month has been so much fun watching you grow! You are taking in everything around you. I love watching you discover new things. I am praying that you love learning as much as I love to teach. You have changed so much since the day you were born. People say you look just like me with your big bright eyes but I still see so much of your daddy in you. Especially your cute button nose! I guess your a good mix of us both, and I wouldn't have it any other way. When you were in my tummy your daddy and I used to guess what color hair you would have. Your daddy said the blonde gene was too powerful to overcome... but how wrong he was. You have the darkest hair and it keeps coming. You have the cutest cowlick near your forehead. I love our talks, you go back and forth with your sweet coos. It just makes excited for our talks as you grow. You have grown very fond of your hand, but especially your thumb! No matter how quick we are with the paci, most times you would prefer your thumb instead. We may have a thumbsucker on our hands!

My girl, you are my world! My favorite moments are when we are rocking before bedtime. As we read our nightly bible story, I am overwhelmed with God's blessing we have in you. You are healthy and happy (most of the time). I think back how we prayed for your little heart and your VSDs... we are just so blessed! I have never felt a love like this! I love you sweet Brynn Marie!

I love you sweet girl!

Feeling the Love

One thing I LOOOOOOOOOVE about our home is our mantle. I also love the challenge of finding things around the house to decorate it for each holiday... well maybe with a few purchases here and there. Here is our mantel Feeling the Love for February.

I had bought the berry twigs last season at Kirklands and already had the urn. A Goodwill find a few years ago. I made the LOVE sign last year with letters from Hobby Lobby, paint and some hot glue.

Ugh this garland... I thought it was going to be the death of me. Last year I sat down with some magazines, some paper, doilies, cucpcake liners, scrapbook flowers and this tutorial from TaterTots and Jello. I gave 3 hours of my time to this decor. It was totally worth it in the end... but I definitely didn't think so at the time. But I love that I can use it again and again.

I adore this free printable I found on Pinterest. It found a home in a frame I had from the wedding + some white spray paint. I made this pom ball (another doozie) using another tutorial via The Idea Room Blog on Pinterest. Those crepe paper flowers left some hot glue burns on the digits. Streamers are thin.... Tom gave me a Nothing Bundt Cake wrapped on this cute stand and now it has another purpose.

This birdie is my favorite thing about the mantel. (Uhm.... please excuse me while I go dust the mantel GROSS.) I bought this bird from Kirlands. Love that place! After seeing this card on Pinterest I decided to recreate my own. I love how it turned out. I may also LOVE green olives.

The Hruskocys are definitely feeling the love this year... We adore our newest Valentine who is already 12 weeks old and will be turning 3 Months the day after Valentine's Day!

T.G.I.F

This week flew by which was great news because I get to spend the weekend with my two loves. The school weeks feel like their getting shorter which only means one thing... Summer is close. So close...

Here's our week in review via Instagram @katiehruskocy
Baby's first SuperBowl! How cute is that onesie?  Daddy's Little Football... yes please! MeMaw watched our little lady so we could have a little mommy daddy time with friends.

Brynn Marie and I start off each afternoon together with a major cuddle session. This was her "I'm sorry" face for her daddy after giving him a run for his money during their day together. She's our bright eyed girl.

We loved the sunny Texas weather this week, so did our Kali girl! We spent a lot of time on the back porch. It zonks her out. An instant pacifier as well :)

14 Days of Showering my man with love. Each morning he wakes up to a little surprise. With a new baby we've been working hard to find time for the two of us. Little lovies like this speak his love language.

Looks just like her mama! Almost identical to when I was a baby. Our Miss B! My dear friend Amie made this adorable onesie for us for my school shower. She's so talented.

Throwback Thursday: Yikes! We both look a little puffy here! Crossfit changed both of our lives. So thankful for our health.

These precious lovies arrived on my doorstep Friday afternoon to wrap up the week. I have been eying these beauties every time they come across GroupDealz and finally broke down and bought them. Aqua, white and pink... perfect for my girl. Check out her etsy site: Jameson Monroe

Oh geez... have you ever seen anything sweeter? Tom was saying goodnight to our girl before his shift. She is going to be such a Daddy's Girl.

Happy Friday Y'all!

Brynn Marie you are 11 weeks old. I cannot believe how much you've changed even in the past week. You amaze me each day with your beauty but most of all your strength. You are one strong girl...
You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. We love you so much.

Sweet little girl. I could eat you up I love you so!

Ugh I love you! So much...

Weekending

Weekends are precious now that I have gone back to work. I am counting down the minutes during the school week until I can rush home to my sweet husband and baby. This weekend was exceptionally special because Daddy was off work due to a training he had attended earlier in the week. When Saturday came we hit the ground running.

Saturday morning after some breakfast at home, and a quick Starbucks run we went to our niece's basketball game. She is on an all girls team and the team plays mostly all boys teams. Tough girls right there..
Brynn loved it. She was the cutest cheerleader there.

Beautiful Texas weather made for a perfect patio lunch at Corner Bakery.
Lazy Saturday afternoon with my loves.
Ugh... makes my heart melt.
Buddha belly midriffs are only cute on babies. Look at that thing.
All smiles on Sunday morning
Are you ready for some football?

Girls got her sassy pants on.

 My world.

 Our weekend in pictures :)
